Its not all about me...
1. Yesterday I wanted to lay out and get some sun at the beach. Instead, I sat in the sand to shade Evan from the sun and kept a close eye on his sandy hands that kept going straight to his mouth. Normally I hate getting all sandy but it was so fun to see Evan explore something new.

2. Last night Joel and I would have loved to walk down along the bay to find a nice restaurant for dinner. Instead, we stayed at the hotel and ate at the same restaurant as the night before because Evan did not have a nap and was Mr. Groucho. But, we had a nice dinner outside and Evan slept in the stroller like a good little boy.

3. This morning I would love to be sitting out at the pool. Instead, I am sitting in the hotel room letting Evan nap since we sacrificed nap-time yesterday for beach-time. Normally this would make me grouchy but knowing that a nap will make the rest of the day better makes me happy.

I think God is slowly changing my heart as I make sacrifices for my little boy. Evan truly is a blessing and I love spending time with him as he discovers new things every day.

A cute picture of my boys...

I'm with ya Jen! That is what being a parent is all about. Kids are sooooo worth every sacrifice!
