Remembering the Heartland
This morning as I work Tim Grimm is singing. I got the CD from my in-laws as a gift and my favorite thing about it is, especially since we live in the South now, that it reminds me of my roots. Walking fence lines, working fields, family, food and corn. Thanks Dave and Deena for a gift that keeps giving. Maybe somebody here in the coffee shop this morning will hear it and reconnect with their own heritage. Who knows?

Ah, Tim Grimm...Heartland is currently in my truck's CD player (having recently replaced John Prine's new CD). The 4D's (Dave, Deena, Deb and Dan) have tickets on order to see Tim Grimm and Jason Wilbur (John Prine's guitarist) in late August in a small venue in Arthur, IL. 2nd time for us to see these artists live. Looking forward to another evening of excellent acoustic music. Wish you could join us! Take care.
