Time with Friends
Last week we had visitors from Illinois! We love visitors. (hint.hint.) Dave, Kristin, & Jackson spent a couple days of their vacation with us before heading to Jekyll Island. Jackson is already 7 months old!I took a day off of work and we went to a couple museums here in Gainesville then spent the rainy afternoon chatting and looking at pictures. It was SO good to see them.

For the weekend we went over to Flagler Beach to meet up with some friends from church. We played bocce ball on the beach and "Prokadima" in the pool. Kelly will kill me if she sees this picture of herself! Its always good to spend time with friends.

Finally, an update!
Where does my time go? I think about writing on my blog more than I actually write on it. We've had a pretty eventful August! Jake and Melissa came to visit us and brought corn and tomatoes from good ol' Illinois! It was heaven. You can go to Melissa's blog to see some pics from the visit. She's a lot funnier than I am so I won't feel bad if you start reading her blog more than mine. (http://studlygirl.blogspot.com/)

Jodi left for home the same weekend that Jake and Melissa left. It was very sad. I cried. It was great to have her here for the summer!

For the second week of August we were busy at VBS. Here is Joel talking to the kids about our mission for the week, Gainesville Community Ministries. (http://www.betterday.org/) I was the photographer for the week so I don't have any pictures of myself. That would be pretty selfish huh?

This past weekend was spent in Auburn with Joel's family. Jack, (our nephew not our cat) was baptized yesterday. Joel's brother and sister are members of the Episcopal Church. Here is a close-up for ya...

Well, I know I'm not as funny as Melissa but at least you know what's going on with us these days :)
