The Birthday Post!
I still can't believe my "little peaunut" is one year old. The year went by SO fast! I think Evan enjoyed his first year of life in Gainesville (with a few random trips to Illinois). Although only my mom was able to be present for Evan's birthday party, we invited some of our "Gainesville Family" to share his big day with us.

The theme was trucks! Evan just can't get enough of his trucks, or cars, or fire engines, or trains....basically anything that has wheels and moves needs a motor sound to accompany it.

I made his cake (with a lot of help from my mom!)

Joel was in charge of balloons. He did a great job!

He also helped with the food (and thanks to mom for making the "Northern Potato Salad."

Evan received lots of nice gifts.

He sat still for a few minutes...

Mom and I had fun getting everything ready!

The birthday boy in one of his new outfits from Aunt Jodi...
The three amigos...

No caption needed...

And now for the cake: At first Evan kind of looked at it like "what am I supposed to do with this?"

Then he tasted a little...

And it didn't take long to smash the whole piece in his mouth...

He must have needed to call someone after he ate his cake...

After the party was over we got the mail and Evan had 3 more presents to open!!!

The birthday boy on his actual birthday (the day after his party)

I think he was happy that Grandma Raymer got to come to his party:)

I'm sure the 2nd year will be just as fun as the first. I am looking forward to every minute of it!

oh my goodness...he looks more and more like you everyday! i wish i could have been there to celebrate his 1st bday =( love you guys!

From the student to the teacher...I believe it should be the three amigas!!! He looks so cute and his hair looks like it has a different do! It (the do that is) is super cute on a super cute little boy.

So glad you got to post. I've really missed you not having internet. Evan looks so cute eating his cake. You did a great job. I still can't believe he is one.
