catching up
Well, I sure haven't posted in a long time. Things in our lives have been changing, it seems, every day. My new job is going very well at Data Targeting. I'm really loving the work and believe that it is important. I look forward to going to work every day and there is something to be said for that.

I am playing in a YMCA basketball league, which has been fun. We won our game last night but I hurt my back pretty bad. I think it's the first time in my life I've begun to feel some impact of aging because this morning, it hurts worse instead of being better. I remember when I was playing college basketball I had small back injuries all the time. I would ice it, stretch it, sleep on it and be ready to go the next day. Not so today. But, it'll be ok with some time and a little care.

The weather has changed now in Gainesville. Our days are in the 80's and 90's now with very nice evenings of the 60's and 70's. We're having a cook-out this Friday night which should be lots of fun. It is such a blessing to have the great friends that we do here in Gainesville. We were worried about finding and making good friends when we moved down here but, with time, we've found some great ones that we're sure will be lifelong friends now.

I hope you are well and having a great day if you're reading this. I'm going to make a new effort to blog at least a few times per week. I feel like I've lost touch with some of you who read the blog so hopefully we'll reconnect a bit. Take care!

Meet Our Newphew!
We wanted to share some pictures of our new newphew, Jack Teague Searby, born on March 18. He weighed in at 5 pounds and 10 ounces and was 18 inches long. We went up to visit the new parents a couple of weekends ago and we're just now getting around to posting the pictures. Enjoy!
